  6. 3+ × 185 [45,25]

I managed only 3 reps for the last set.

Squat Follow On

5 sets, 10 reps @ 85lbs

Leg Curls

5 sets, 10 reps @ 75lbs

I only managed 5 reps for the last set. I think it’s a little too heavy for 5/3/1. I will adjust. That’s it.

Today’s WOD: Push Press and Work up to 40

  1. KB swings (1.5 pood)
  2. Squats
  3. Push-ups

For the Push Press, I started at 65. I added 10 lbs per rep. I maxed out at 125 lbs, and attempted 135lbs, but was unable to get a full rep. My WOD time was 10:43.

Today’s WOD: Bench Press & Chelsea

  1. Rest as needed between lifts
  2. Bench Press 5-5-5-5-5x

Chelsea

Top of each minute for 30 minutes

  1. 5x Pull-ups
  2. 10x Push-ups
  3. 15x Squats

I did 135 lbs for the Bench Press. I also managed to finish 9 rounds of Chelsea. I think I have another goal, complete Chelsea. It is harder than it looks.

WOD

For time - 1 pood

  1. 25x KB Snatch - Left Arm
  2. 50x KB Press
  3. 50x H2H KB swing
  4. 50x KB Clean
  5. 50x KB Goblet squat
  6. 25x KB Snatch - Right Arm

Switch arms as needed unless noted. Try to keep it even on both sides. My time was 16:17. For the squats I did 4 sets @ 185 and one @ 195. I need to work on my squatting.

That’s it for today. Tomorrow’s WOD will be rough, so rest well.

Rest as needed between lifts

  1. Deadlift 5-5-3-3-1x reps

WOD

Max rounds in 7 minutes

  1. 3x Back squat (bw)
  2. 6x KB swing (1.5 pood)
  3. 9x Push-ups

For the deadlifts I managed, 205 lbs x 2, 215 lbs x 2 and 235 lbs. No increase there on my max, but I’m happy especially after yesterday’s Fran WOD. For the AMRAP I did 6 complete sets and one incomplete of 3 squats & 4 KB swings. I weigh 155, so that’s what I had for the squat weight.

3 Rounds

  1. 33x 24 inch Box Jumps
  2. 33x Walking Lunge Steps
  3. 33x Squats

My time was 17:44. Not bad. Looking to improve. Tomorrow is rest day, but we’re not resting exactly. Going to do some PVC P form practice for Spinning Grace and Fran which are both approaching rapidly.
